A couple of years ago, I got this crazy idea to sell our nice, new house and renovate our old, rental house. It was almost paid for, and I thought it would be a good financial decision on our part. Needless to say, it cost more money than expected and we're still not completely finished. Remodeling a house is not for the faint of heart!
Despite the fact we still have some things to finish, the inside of the house looks completely unrecognizable (in a good way)! I thought I'd share some pictures with you over the course of a few blog posts. So, let's get started!
My first picture is our upstairs hallway. It was a disaster.
Our renters, over the years, really did some damage to the house. It was nice having that extra income, but it cost us new subfloors, new interior doors and exterior doors and new windows, among other things.
But, good things come to those who wait...or rather work really hard and have a lot of patience.
Since this picture was taken, we've finished the floor trim for each room. It's not really noticeable in this picture, but it's made an even bigger difference in person. I'm pretty pleased with this transformation!
