Time to say goodbye

Wednesday, November 19, 2014
Over the past few months I've pondered the idea of no longer blogging. I began this journey as therapy for myself after losing our daughter, Josey, to preeclampsia. Then, there was the testicular cancer, and eventually adoption. It's been a wild and crazy ride.

Now that our daughter is venturing into the toddler stage, my time is spent being a mom, which is what I always wanted. Also, as an adoptive mom, I want my daughter's story to be her own and not mine. Should she wish to share with the world someday, then it should be her decision.

However, I don't plan to completely fall off the grid. I do have my reno blog, which is in desperate need of attention. I'm also planning to start up a book review blog at some point. For now, though, it's time to say goodbye to my "mom blog" and move on to my next chapter.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. I met so many wonderful people along the way who helped me through my darkest days and rejoiced with me on my happiest. It truly has been my pleasure.

Much love and peace.

  5. Here from ICLW. I totally understand your reasoning for moving on from this blog. But the good thing about blogs is that you can always come back to them in the future! Even if it's just a reminder of where you've been.Good luck to you with your new journey! I hope to see your other blogs on next month's ICLW :)
