For the love of God, don't put me on your windshield

in memory of vinyl stickers
Grief.

It can be overwhelming, all encompassing, layered... It can knock you down, even when you come up fighting.

The one undeniable thing I know about grief is that it's individualized. It's personal. It's not the same for any one person, and we all deal with it differently.

Over the past few years, I've noticed a trend here in Kentucky. Or maybe it's just in eastern Kentucky. I don't know. Either way, people feel the need to honor the memory of their loved ones with big vinyl stickers on the back of their vehicle's windshield.

I'm not judging; however, I personally don't get it. It's not that I don't want to honor the memory of my daughter, or my grandparents, or other loved ones that have gone on before me; it's just it would seem like a constant reminder of that loss. Plus, I'd be a totally embarrassed spirit from beyond.

So, for all my family and friends out there:

For the Love of GOD, whenever my time comes, DO NOT PUT MY NAME ON YOUR WINDSHIELD or I will come back and haunt you to the end of your days.

Have a great weekend. :)
