A couple of weeks ago, my sisters and I decided to try a spinning class on campus. When I lived in Lexington I used to attend a spin class at the YMCA. My company offered a discount and it was right next to the office, so I would go after work. I loved the class! Best workout ever! Needless to say, I was looking forward to starting another spin class. I thought for sure this would be the perfect way to get rid of these last ten pounds.

We showed up bright and early (6:30 a.m.) ready to go.  About one or two minutes in, I knew I had made a mistake. I couldn't get comfortable on that bike seat (aka saddle). I somehow managed to get through the 45-minute class, but not without a lot of pain. We laughed it off and forgot about it.

Except, I couldn't forget about it. My spin class in Lexington had big, fat seats. No worries about a sore tooshy. Unfortunately, lucky me somehow managed to bruise my tailbone, at least I hope that's all it is. It hurts to sit down, stand up, bend over...I feel like I'm ninety-years old! LOL I broke down and brought a pillow to work with me today. If I can find one of those little donuts, I'm not above using it.

Anyone else out there ever have a bruised or broken tailbone? I read it could take weeks to heal! Lord help me, it's gonna be a long few weeks if that's the case. ;)


  1. Hate to share bad news- but it took weeks for me to function normally without discomfort... and over a year before I could sit down for extended periods of time without pain. Lets just hope it's just a bruise that will quickly go away.

  2. I broke my tailbone giving birth and then made it worse birthing my twins. Hate to tell you, but 8 years after giving birth the first time and mine still bothers me. Hopefully yours is just bruised and will heal quickly!
