I am Still Standing

Tuesday, May 01, 2012

After the loss of our daughter, I didn't know where to turn. How was I going to get through this? I turned to the one person I knew that had lived through the same thing. I suddenly understood the pain she suffered. How anyone could survive was beyond me, but she had and she is family, so I knew I could too. (Thanks, Ash!)

I was introduced to an online community of grieving mothers, more commonly known as BLMs (baby loss moms). I was now a member. What surprised me most was how much love these ladies sent my way. They offered their experiences, what worked and didn't work for them. They helped guide me through the storm that is the loss of a child. I can't say enough about this community. While I hate we found each other under such horrible circumstances, I am so very thankful and grateful for each and every one of you that has helped me walk this path.

This is why I am so excited about the launch of a new magazine, Still Standing. Its purpose is to inspire others to embrace life in the face of loss and infertility. There are so many incredible contributors from around the world working with this new magazine. I am very proud of these ladies! Still Standing will be an excellent resource for all of us in this community.

The launch date is this Saturday, May 5th. Don't miss out! The Launch Party is currently underway with great giveaways. Be sure to stop by their website and social media pages for more information.

  3. You are such an inspiration and your story is so heartfelt. I have no doubt that you will survive just like the person you turned to did.
