October ICLW

Friday, October 21, 2011

Hello fellow ICLW-ers! It's been quite awhile since I participated in ICLW.  I haven't been blogging much, but I am trying to get back in the swing of things.

If you're new to my site, you can read my story on the Faces of Loss, Faces of Hope link on the right. We are currently a "waiting" family with our adoption agency. We've been active since June. The waiting is definitely hard, but it's nice to know we've made it through our homestudy and a call could come any day. Our agency also sponsors a children's home in Guatemala called Hope for Tomorrow. This past week we sponsored one of the children living there. I'm looking forward to watching this little one grow and learn. I'd love to visit at some point.

I've recently started a new fundraising venture for our adoption. I'm now a Premier Designs jeweler! You can read more about it in the post below or just click here. I'm looking forward to not only saving some extra money for our adoption, but also getting out and meeting new people and having some girl time.

Tomorrow I'm leaving for vacation. My mom, two aunts, and two friends are going to Florida for the week. Mom and I are hoping to meet up with our cousins, Ashley (A Ruby Family) and her mom, while we're there. We (Mom and I) are so looking forward to a nice, relaxing week at the beach. I've been told there is wi-fi in our condo, so hopefully I'll be able to read and chat with all of you.

Happy ICLW!

I hope you get your match soon, and that you enjoy your vacation.

  5. Your link works now. Thank you for sharing your story with us. Next week on the 30th I'm going to the Walk to Remember in Louisville and will have a moment of silence for your angel <3

  6. Visiting from ICLW.

Welcome to the Premier family! I am also a part-time jeweler! I started in May of this year. I hope that you are very successful in your business.

I hope that your wait is short. And in the meantime, you have your new business to keep you busy! :)
