Fall is in the air!

I love this time of the year. My grapevine wreath is on the door, covered in pumpkins and sunflowers. I just bought a fake hay bale from QVC that folds down for easy storage. No mess! I can't wait to get it and set it on the porch with some festive mums, pumpkins and maybe a scarecrow. My University of Kentucky garden flag is out just in time for football season. We're even feeling a tailgate or two coming on! My husband got great news from his UK committee chair concerning his dissertation. He can now start on his research, which means he should be ready to defend and GRADUATE in May! Can I get an AMEN? I feel like the spouse of anyone completing a doctorate degree should also get some sort of degree as well. I've read his dissertation as much as he has. It will be a happy, happy graduation day!

There's so many fun things going on in the next few months. This weekend we have a new festival in town, Autumn Arts and Eats. At the end of the month is the Cave Run Storytelling Festival, which is amazing! Next month, I'm headed to the beach with the girls for a week. And then the next month, we're planning to spend Thanksgiving in Pigeon Forge. Mmm, I can already taste Thanksgiving dinner at the Apple Barn. We'll probably do a little Christmas shopping while we're there.

We're definitely trying to enjoy ourselves now. We also know that things will definitely change once we get the "call."  So far, no news, but you never know when that call will come. :)
