More medication

Have I mentioned how much I hate preeclampsia? Still, a year and half later, and I am dealing with it. My doctor finally told me, after trying several non-prescription treatment options, that I have to go on potassium pills. My potassium is not getting any better. It's not bad, but it is low. I've drunk orange juice everyday, eaten watermelons until I became one, cut out salt, you name it, I did it, but it didn't work.

I know it's not that big a deal, but I'm tired of the meds. I shouldn't be on potassium and blood pressure medication at 33. UGH. However, I do know both of these things could become big deals if I don't treat them correctly. So, I'll take the pills.

Happy Monday to me. lol

  1. I haven't been reading blogs as often as I would like so I am a little out of the loop. I am so sorry that you are still dealing with medical issues due to that darn preclampsia. You are right at 33 you shouldn't have to be on any meds. I am glad you are taking them as you should though and I will pray that soon you will be off of them for good. ((HUGS))

  2. What a bummer about the lingering pre-e..I bet you would like nothing more to shut the door on it's ugly face. Are there many side effects to the Mede? Do they think you'll eventually be symptom free, or is this a lifelong thing?

I miss your posts- so write some more, 'kay? Hope meds aside you are keeping busy this summer and that you get the call that your baby's ready to come home soon. I think of you often.

P.s. We'd totally hangout if we were in the same zip code. No doubt.
