First, thanks to all of you that left such supportive comments yesterday. I really appreciate it. Even though it wasn't meant to be spiteful, it still leaves a sting. Sometimes I just have to talk it out and get it off my chest and then I feel better. :)

Now to the good stuff. This morning I completed week 3, day one of C25K!! I can't believe it. I made it to week 3. It's a miracle. I just hope I can keep the momentum going. I'm also doing a three week boot camp type class. It's twice a week. Lots of weights, lunges, squats, push-ups, etc. I'm really trying to give my metabolism a boost.

I recently ran across this blog - One Twenty Five. She started running a couple years ago and just kept with it. Now she's 50 pounds lighter and runs marathons! WOW. I'm not looking to do that, but I am hoping to stay consistent, get some weight off and be healthier. I really want to come off this blood pressure medicine. I know the docs said the pre-e may cause me to stay on it forever, but I'm hoping a lighter, healthier me can change that. We'll see.

For now, every muscle in my body aches and I'm lovin' it.

  1. I can tell you as a runner that you have the running bug. Meaning if you are speaking of pain and saying you are loving it and running through it, then you're hooked. Good for you. There is no better high I tell ya. http://www.reewrite.com ~Ree

  2. So proud of you!
I just read your last post. Shame on that person.

  3. I'm glad to hear that you are being successful with C25K. I started it as well a few weeks ago. I'm hoping that running becomes something I enjoy! Keep up the great work.
I've been following your blog for awhile but first time commenter. I was following back when you were in the hospital. I love to read your blog...it's real!!
