Digital Scrapbooking

Sunday, February 13, 2011
I recently purchased some digital scrapbooking software to create our adoption family profile. It wasn't too expensive and to be honest I'm kind of excited about creating it. I have a feeling once I get a feel for it I will be a digital scrapbooking queen! I went through our pictures today and pulled out some favorites that need to be scanned. DH is taking them to school to get scanned and put on a CD for me.

I figure this will be something good to keep me occupied until we can submit our application. DH has a follow-up appointment on the 10th. So until we get his medical form filled out from his doctor, our application is on hold. I'm hoping once we get it submitted that the homestudy will go fairly fast (aside from waiting on background checks, etc.). I already have the app filled out and ready to go, just need that signed form from his doctor. The 10th also happens to be our anniversary (and my twin sisters' birthday). I'm hoping for a great day - birthday cake, anniversary dinner, application signed, sealed and delivered.  Until then, I'm going to stay busy putting our profile together.

  1. What an awesome idea. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

  2. So exciting! Are you going domestic or international? I can't remember - if you are going domestic, the homestudy process actually goes fairly quick - a LOT of it depends on how fast you get them the stuff they need. We got our background checks back pretty quick and was almost finished with the domestic homestudy process when we decided to pursue international.

I did our profile in Powerpoint because we needed it relatively quick, but I had started it on Shutterfly before I realized how long it would take for them to do our book and we needed it pretty quick.

Hoping that the process goes quick for you and hoping the follow-up goes great!

    Hugs and love!
