November ICLW

Saturday, November 20, 2010
It's that time again, time for November's ICLW.  For those of you that are new, welcome. You can find our story at Faces of Loss, Faces of Hope or you can read everything from the beginning at Journey to Josey. Quickly, DH and I lost our daughter at 25 weeks/2 days to preeclampsia. Because of the severity of my case, our perinatologists suggested we not try again because we have around a 60% chance of experiencing the same thing. The trauma of the entire experience was enough for both of us. Since then, we have decided to pursue domestic adoption. We have met with our agency and our adoption classes begin in January. We are very excited! I look forward to reading all of your blogs and I hope you decide to sit and stay awhile here at Our New Normal. :)

Oh and P.S.the pages links are a work in progress.

  1. I'm stopping by from ICLW. I'm so sorry about your loss and am very hopeful for you about moving forward towards adoption.

    LOVE the 1974 bug! :)

  2. I'm stopping by from ICLW too! I'm a NICU nurse in Baltimore, and so unfortunately while I cannot completely relate to what you are going through (although my cousin had a baby with a fatal diagnosis prenatally who she carried to term who lived 16 minutes), I can understand alot of it. I am so sorry about your little girl, and wish you the best of luck with your adoption!

  3. Hi Kam! I've been a follower for a few weeks now. I've only been blogging 3 weeks or so, and I find so much encouragement from my fellow sisters in tragedy.

  4. Happy ICLW! I'm sorry about the loss of your little girl. I hope your road to adoption is a smooth as possible. Good luck!

  5. Can't wait to follow you!

  6. I'm sorry to hear your story! What heartache. I'm currently waiting to adopt either by domestic infant or embryo, we are pursuing both until one path becomes more clear! Good luck to you in this journey! It's nice to have a support system of others going through adoption.

  7. Happy ICLW! And, good luck on your adoption journey!!! So sorry about your loss. We lost our son at 18 weeks-there's nothing that can describe that kind of pain. Rooting for you guys!!!

  8. I am sooooooo sorry for your loss. I hope and pray your adoptive journey is short and sweet and ends in nothing but dirty diapers and giggles. {{HUGS}} *~*Happy ICLW*~*

  9. Hello
