It Sure is Monday

What a day. I recently was given a new job on top of my own. In trying to figure it all out, I somehow made a major goof-up. The problem is I'm not sure what I did to cause it. Even better, huh? On a positive note, the hubby is on Fall Break and he took me out to lunch today. What a treat!

After work, I came straight home, threw on my sweats, and curled up in my favorite chair. I've just about calmed myself down, just in time to get up and fix dinner.

This weekend we are taking our pictures for our adoption family profile. We've also given the adoption agency's contract to an attorney to have a once over before we sign it and take the plunge. This afternoon I ordered certified copies of our birth certificates, as well as Josey's stillbirth certificate. It apparently takes 30+ days to receive these from the state, so I decided to go ahead and get a head start on things. Hopefully, in the next couple weeks we will be ready to officially turn in our application!

  1. Dropped by from SITS.
My husband and I went through that maze of adoption work. My heart and hope go out to you.

  2. Wasn't it a Monday!!! I totally understand the whole job thing. I started a new position in May, and pretty much kept my two previous on top of it. After a while I was so confused!!!

  3. You are getting closer to making things happen. Good luck! :)

  4. Hi Kerry, I am stopping by from the Hare Tribe. Thanks so much for visiting my site yesterday. I hate when Mondays are less than perfect. Mine was also, but for different reasons. There must have been something in the air yesterday. I have been really moved by your story. I can only imagine how difficult this has been for you and your husband. I know several people who have adopted children and even though the process is long, they would do it over again in a heartbeat. Can't wait to read more, have a great day!

  5. Stopping by from the Hare tribe. It is so exciting that you are getting close to adopt. I am a birth mom so I enjoy reading stories of adoptive couples.

  6. Congratulations on getting closer to adopting. I have a brother and sister that were adopted so this is a subject near and dear to my heart. I hope it is a smooth and speedy process for you.
I also have to say that I LOVE the quote at the top of your blog. After I read it, I said out loud, "Isn't that the truth!"
I'm a new follower from the Hare tribe.
