Does anyone watch Days of our Lives? I'm pretty sure I've watched it since birth. For those that don't watch, there is a character on the show, Nicole, that suffered a miscarriage a couple of years ago. Her character went into premature labor. Later she found out that because of scar tissue from something else, she couldn't carry a baby to full term. Then of course, in soap opera fashion, there was plenty more drama accompanying this tragedy.

Anyway, the point of all this is yesterday on the show she was talking with a friend about the miscarriage, how it made her feel then and how it still affects her today. I found myself crying with her. She is right. Someone on their writing staff must have been through a loss. I think "Nicole" needs an Emmy for that performance alone. Or maybe it's just because I understood those feelings. Who knows? It does bother me though that the bad girl is the one who suffers the loss. Why not the main character? Everyone's favorite? Instead, they have another character on the show who is told she can't get pregnant because of this, that and another, but miraculously she does. Of course, since when is a soap opera ever like real life?

I guess I have a soft spot for her, even if she is a little devil. lol
