Half Way

Thursday, July 01, 2010
Well, we are officially half way through this year.  Hopefully, the latter half will be much better than the first.  For some reason I've been singing Deck the Halls all morning. Fa la la la la...la la...la... la...  Christmas in July anyone?  So random.  It must be my subconscious telling me it's almost time for QVC's Christmas in July shows.  I look forward to it every year and usually spend a small fortune.  Anyone else a QVC junkie?  It's pitiful, I know. My DH just shakes his head.  He's learned over the years to just go with it.  It's always easier that way.  :)

I'm off tomorrow, and we are planning a nice day at the lake.  I'll be dragging along all my adoption books and the XM radio.  I think we're going to go see The Last Airbender too.  I've been looking forward to seeing it.  I'm not a Twilight fan, so no Eclipse for me.  My sisters were at the midnight showing Tuesday night, but I passed.  The feminist in me thinks "Bella" is a doormat when it comes to "Edward."  I've read the first three books.  I threw the third book several times because of the outright ridiculousness (is that a word?) while I was reading it and I refused to read the fourth.  Young girls should have strong role models, and "Bella" just isn't one.  OK, I'll get off my soapbox now.

Happy 4th of July to everyone!

  1. Have a good time and be safe.

  2. Sounds like fun. I am so with you on the whole Twilight thing.
I couldn't even make myself finish the first.
New Beginnings out of Tuepelo MS.
Check them out for adoption. We loved them when we met with them.
